Vodafone Said Thank You

Today when I got my Vodafone bill… it had a Thank You letter attached along with it. The letter went something like this…

“Dear Friend,

Everyday each one of at Vodafone try our best to meet your every need. And by staying with us you have paid a wonderful compliment for our hard work. Thank you very much.

Your confidence is us strengthens our enthusiasm to work even harder and server you even better. We hope that in years to come, you will continue to enjoy this journey as much as we cherish our relationship.

As a token of appreciation for your valued partnership, we would like to present you a Thank You card, which has a surprise in store for you! To know what your surprise gift is just scratch it and SMS…”

I was excited that after years of being loyal to Hutch / Vodafone I was finally rewarded. I scratched the card and sent the SMS. Then waited and waited.

Finally I got a SMS back “Sorry! You are not eligible for this offer” What crap is this? Is this a joke? What was the whole Thank You letter for?

To top it all, the letter also mentions “From next month onwards you can collect a new Thank You card, every month, from any Vodafone Store closer to you.”
Why would I collect the card every month… for more NO THANK YOU gifts?

There have been numerous times when Vodafone has done misleading advertising but this tops it all.

Since this letter was signed by Sanjay Sawhney (AVP – Customer Service), I plan to email this article to him ask him to stop sending junk letter which waste customers time.

i am also facing the same prob.i got a vodafone thank you card today when i paid my postpaid bill. But then after sending the msg as per the instruction i got the same reply as sms.

even i don’t understand why these people do such nonsense. We haven’t asked for any thank you from them.if they have to do such kind of foolish thing, why have they given us such cards … its shameful from such a big service provider.

Its really shocking. I gave a card by nearby vodaphone store. coming office i scratched and send sms at 111. message replied that my card is not valid as already 12 hrs passed after delivery…but actually the gap was 6 hrs…it is really disgusting to tolerate this type of attitude from a company who lives on us.
